How to Apply for TNA |
To be granted access to infrastructures, you have to provide a short application describing the scientific background of your project and a justification why access to a particular infrastructure or to several infrastructures is needed. Other than for high-thoughput crystallization you can apply through P-CUBE for access to any facility that is not in your home country and to any EMBL facility independent of your EU affiliated home country. In all cases you will need to follow the procedure below. Decisions on crystallization requests will depend on available capacity, sample purity and scientific value. For other platforms you will need to provide scientific justification.
- Register for a P-CUBE account: Follow the "Register" link on the left hand side of the page and provide the necessary details.
- Complete the P-CUBE general application: Please provide us with general information about the proposed project which is not access platform specific so that we can manage the project in a unified way.
- Complete the platform-specific application: At the end of the form you select your preferred access platform and then complete the application as appropriate for the selected platform.
- What happens next: Your application will be reviewed and you will receive an answer within days (crystallization) or weeks (other platforms) concerning the success of your proposal. If your proposal is accepted you will be contacted by the platform manager directly to arrange the visit. It is important that the work is properly accounted for and you complete the return to the European Commission in order to be reimbursed. Failure to do so will bar you from further application.
